Author Notes: IDK this randomly came into mind when I saw the current challenge and I always wanted to write something for Queen's Blade so...
Summary: "I did not say what I said to cause mockery, instead only to inform of the truth on how you are, not a true blood demon, but a half demon, who will likely be barred from the fire she was raised to learn how to draw blood in," Tomoe replies calmly as she begins walking up the stairs. Shizuka doesn't give a rebuttal, only silently following her, but what is there to debunk anyhow? Tomoe is right. As a half-breed, she cannot use any satanic powers like her full-blood mother was rumored to unless she uses the forbidden ninjutus and scrolls of the Kouma that'll be at the cost of her life, and even if she were a full-blood demon, her grandmother won't make any exceptions for what has just transpired. Kouma Ninjas who fail are expected to accept death. To instead become the test subject of a missed target is an act punishable by instant death. (Or, a reimagining of how Tomoe and Shizuka met, and on their final meeting with each other.)
