If you have a suggestion or feedback about how the challenge is run, an idea about a potential improvement, a concern related to another community member or anything else you'd like to talk to us about, you are in the right place.

Please leave your feedback or concern as a comment on this post. All comments are screened, so only you and the mods will be able to see the conversation.

One of the mods will reply to your comment within 24 hours. If you haven't heard from us in that time, please feel free to leave another comment as a reminder!

Because the comments are all screened, it won't work to leave one anonymously -- you wouldn't be able to see our reply. We really prefer to have all feedback here in this post where we can keep track of it easily, but if you are unable to comment unanon, you may reach us via PM or email at fanflashworks at gmail.

Please don't hesitate to talk to us. We're always glad to hear from you.

Has this really never been answered? I'm so sorry!! I think you asked it on my watch, but I must have missed it when you did. I was just double-checking the post for badge requests and noticed it. I have no idea how that happened. /o\

1) I thought I saw this answered elsewhere, but now I can't find it. For "Brave New Media" do they have to be media completely new to me, or just new in a fannish sense (ie, I have knit in the past, but made nothing fannish)

If posting a fannish knitting project feels like a stretch to you, I'd say to go for it. The badge is all about challenging yourself to be creative in different ways. Knitting fannishly, for an audience, seems different enough to me.

2) For "Transformative Works" can I transform my own works?

Yes!

3) For BNM/TW if I was to podfic some drabbles, but since they're so short, how many drabbles would be ideal to post together as one entry? (I'm thinking 3, like a rec list?)

Yes, that sounds reasonable. We haven't actually set a length limit for podfic, but you may find the audience more receptive if you don't post a lot of very short works one right after the other.

4) You mentioned hosting podfics on a place that would be accessible for the com, but I don't know what kind of sites that would be. I know there are downloading places like mediafire, but are there simply hosting places like photobucket, etc, that would have a "listen" without downloading option that you know about?

I think many podficcers are using soundcloud.com.

5) For the option to edit Fanlore pages... can this apply to other wikis? Because the sparseness of the Tortall and Pern wikis is *killing* me and I want to do a ton on them, and I was wondering if that could count for this.

I will have to discuss this one with my co-mod. Please stand by. *g*

6) There is no question six, I don't think. :D Sorry for the deluge!

Not a problem at all! We like questions. And again, I am so sorry to have missed this for so long.

(oh, and feel free to unscreen any of my comments)

ETA: I remembered 6)! Would doing a "post-reveal author's unmasked" rec post for yuletide be too liberal an interpretation of the prompt? Because that's the first thing I thought of :P But I'd understand if it wasn't ok.

Urgh, this is too late to do you any good, but that would have worked fine, for what it's worth.
