Buffy paced in front of the Potentials in an open patch among the gravestones. Spike stood slightly behind them.
“And remember: there’s more to vampires than just bloodthirsty demons.”
She watched Vi take notes on her memo pad, then glanced at Spike, who nodded.
“They’re predators, always on the prowl,” she continued, “and like all predators, they’re guided by a strong animal instinct. They single out the weakest member of the herd, and wait for the right moment to attack.”
A menacing growl behind Vi made her trip over herself, screeching in fear.
Buffy smirked at Spike. “Also, they’re stealthy.”
