I observed Alfred entering the room, approaching the couch where Bruce is reading, he crouches then speaks very quietly into his ear. I can only catch fragments of the words commissioner, emergency, phone from the one sided conversation.

It almost always has Bruce announcing that he and Dick have a fishing trip planned and must leave immediately.

“It’s always a fishing trip,” I mutter as they leave.

I know that Dick, Bruce and Commissioner Gordon are all tangled up in something secretive, yet they clearly don’t want to give me the credit I deserve for my suspicions about their activities.
