Summary: Roz has a nightmare after meeting her baby’s father’s parents.

The doctor handed the baby to her and Roz fainted. Her baby had Dumbo’s ears, Pinocchio’s nose, a lazy eye that seemed to be roaming independently of the baby’s misshapen face, and a third nipple. 

Roz woke screaming, drenched in sweat. She battled her bedsheets and panicked before she realized she was at home, in bed.

“Oh, thank god, it’s just a nightmare,” she said, clutching at her chest and laughing at her absurd dream. 

Her belly was still round as a beach ball and large as a whale. 

“No matter what,” she said to her belly. “I’ll love you.”
