Tycho doesn’t resist as the NRI agents lead him away, though his stomach is rolling. The stuncuffs are too tight, the agents’ hands too rough. It’s Lusankya, Akrit’tar, his two months in debriefing all over again, except this time they have something to pin on him rather than baseless suspicion.

Corran. Tycho suppresses a shiver. He’s supposed to be meeting Wedge at the crash site right now. Knowing how furious his friend will be when he learns of his arrest is a small consolation, but it isn’t fair. Wedge is already dealing with so much.

He won’t let this stand, though. He’ll fight the false accusation with everything he has, and Tycho thinks not for the first time how lucky he is to have him.

Tycho will get through this like he got through everything before. The truth will out, and he’ll be free again.
