Summary:

Kes stood in her favourite hiding place in the cargo bay that housed the hydroponics bay. She watched on in awe as Harry and B’Elanna made changes to the pots of soil that Neelix had used for planting his next batch of leola root.

Taking a couple of steps into the eyeline of the meddling pair. “What are you two doing?” she asked.

Harry’s cheeks reddened at getting caught tampering with the food supply. “Erm, we...” he stammered then paused. “Well B’Elanna.” he deflected.

“We thought that we could improve the next yield of leola root by adding vermiculite to the soil. It promotes root growth.”

“Oh,” Kes sounded disappointed by their answer. “I was hoping it was sabotage.”
