Summary: “How long?” she asked, throwing the device onto the counter not bothering if it broke from the force. “For my decision?”

As soon as the transport left, Kathryn and Chakotay walked into the extended, renovated farmhouse. “Do you remember when I told you about Icheb?”

“That one day he’d be running the ship? Like it was yesterday.”

Handing her the PADD with the orders to return to duty, Kathryn scrolled through the information much too quickly for Chakotay’s liking.

“How long?” she asked, throwing the device onto the counter not bothering if it broke from the force. “For my decision?”

“Admiral Jellico said twenty four hours.”

Kathryn rolled her eyes at that. “So generous of him to cut my retirement short.”
