This was ridiculous.

Completely and absolutely ridiculous.

Next time he was going to make Bruce do this. It was Bruce’s idea anyway; taking his super-soldier boyfriend for a walk in a park in the middle of the night.

What was wrong with the Tower? There was more than enough space, and he could create all the enrichment Steve needed. They wouldn’t have to worry about people discovering that Captain America was now an 11-foot tall, blonde werewolf.

And Tony wouldn’t have to deal with this.

Tony buries his head in his hands with a groan. Taking a moment to just breathe. In and out. Slowly, taking his time with each breath. Counting down from twenty for good measure.

“Steve, come on. It’s time to go.” He says. “Now.”

The blond ‘bush’ in front of him doesn’t move, choosing to keep up its act and stay perfectly still and bush-like.

“The sun’s coming up. You don’t want to be caught naked in the local dog park, do you?” There was no response from Steve. Tony could feel the headache starting to come on.

While he was sure that many people around the world would be happy to get a pic of Captain America naked, he didn’t think he wanted to deal with the PR nightmare that would certainly follow.

Pepper probably wouldn’t be too pleased either.

But at least it wouldn’t be his fault this time. He’d happily pass the blame to Bruce, It was his idea in the first place.

“If we don’t go now, I’m not bringing you back here.” He threatens.

“Wrooooooo” the bush howls mournfully.

“I’m serious.” He says.

Steve’s blond head pops up, ears flat against his skull, his big blue eyes wide and pleading.

“Nope. That’s not going to work.” Tony says, turning to walk away. It was a lie. If he thought Steve’s eyes were dangerous before, they were absolutely lethal now. If he doesn’t look at them, he wouldn’t be affected, right?

A soft, wet nose press up against his hand.

Tony lets out a slow breath as a rough tongue licks at his fingers.

He ignores Steve, continuing forward to the car. Blocking out the sad whines coming from the great, big, blond, lump trailing behind him.

They had nearly reached the car when some small animal makes a noise in one of the trees to their left. Steve goes rigid next to him, every inch of him alert. Tony knows he’s lost this battle.

"STEVE! NO! GET BACK HERE!" He cries as Steve bounds off after the small creature.

Tony drops his head into his hands with a long, drawn-out groan.
