Summary: He tugged at the sleeves of his tux; before, he hadn't even known there were suits made for krogans that weren't for battle.

She looked at him curiously. "It is the event of the century, dear. There is no-one in Council space who has not heard of it, and only a selected few managed to get tickets. You are one of those, Grunt, and you should appreciate it a bit more, don't you think?"

He tugged at the sleeves of his tux; before, he hadn't even known there were suits made for krogans that weren't for battle. It was... uncomfortable. "I'm just going to be out of place."

Sybil cut him off with a simple gesture. Despite being the tiny woman that she was, he couldn't help but respect her. Her person just demanded it, being one of this galaxy's most famous philantropes and charity raisers. He would never admit that, sometimes, he even feared her. A little. She was rumoured to be just as fierce as Shepard had been when her plans were crossed...

"Nonsense! What kind of party would it be if the heroes of our age did not attend? Especially since it is in your honour, in a way." She shrugged. "Without you and your brave companions, there would be no party, no Citadel to speak of. And since Shepard is still nowhere to be found..." Her voice trailed off.

Still, Grunt was not convinced. He had never been one for human celebrations of any kind, with being bred to kill, and all that. Shepard's party being the exception, of course. Not that he could remember much of it, besides waking up in the shower with a splitting headache. Must've been great, though.

Sybil noticed his hesitation, because of course she did. Was there anything she didn't pick up on? She narrowed her eyes ever so slightly, and tipped her index against her chin, thinking, until her face lit up with a small smile.

"What if you pretended to be on a mission instead? Just another adventure to add to your already astounding collection?"

"Huh." He scratched the side of his head. That would be one way to see it. Would've been a first, a mission with no lethality whatsoever. Or, no lethality for now. There were always things that could go wrong. Grinning, he nodded.

"Wonderful!" Sybil clapped her hands twice, her smile growing wider ever so slightly. Then, she opened her omni-tool. "The shuttle will be here in five. Pick up what you need."

Out of the corner of his eye, he registered her shaking her head exasperately when he took his shotgun. But she disappeared through her office door into the hallway without a comment. He chose to ignore it for the moment.

It was what Shepard would've wanted.
