Hi everyone! Thanks so much for your feedback on our post about media tags. We really appreciate your poll votes and thoughts! Given the responses and the 1500-tag limit we're working within, we've decided to discontinue the media tags. [These are the m: fanfiction, m: fanart, etc. tags, in case you were wondering. Don't worry, the fandom and author tags are staying!]

We will remove the media tags no earlier than 31 July 2023. If you want to get some use out of them between now and then, please do!

In the meantime, we are continuing our project for combining the oldest fandom tags that have only been used once. As always, this is a rolling project as we mods have time, and we'll post the list each time so that anyone who would like to create a second work for one of these fandoms has the opportunity to save it from our pruning!

Please let us know if there are any of these fandoms we shouldn't combine, or if they belong in a different category -- as mods, we aren't always familiar with the fandoms! Especially for fandoms that have different versions (video games that are also anime and manga are common), we don't always know which category to use.
