Each work created for this challenge should be posted as a new entry to the comm. Posting starts now and continues up until the challenge ends at 4pm Pacific Time on Friday, February 10th. No sign-up required.

Mods will tag your work with fandom, media and challenge. When you've posted entries to three consecutive challenges, you will earn a name tag, and we'll go back and tag all your previous entries with your name.

This month marks the fifth anniversary of fan_flashworks! Since our inception, members of this community here and on Dreamwidth have created thousands of fanworks for the various challenges, and earned hundreds of achievement badges. Thank you to everyone who's been a part of that, past and present! You are all awesome!

To celebrate our birthday, we've come up with two new limited edition badges:

The Celebrator


The Bon Vivant


These badges can only be earned using works posted in February 2017, and you must apply for the badges by March 10th at the Birthday Badges Post. Please do not apply for them in the usual places.

Also, keep an eye out for the next ffw_social post, which will go up in the next couple of days. If you haven't joined the comm yet, it's never too late to come and check it out. (Remember, posts are locked, which means you have to join to see them.)

Only fanworks posted in February 2017 count towards these badges, and you must apply for them by March 10. The deadline has passed. You can no longer claim these badges.

Fifth Anniversary Birthday Badges
The Celebrator	Post 3 works in February 2017.
The Bon Vivant	Post 4 works in February 2017, including at least two fandoms AND at least two media AND at least one in the first five days of a round. Note: A crossover work counts toward one fandom, but you can choose which fandom you want it to represent. Similarly, a single mixed-media work counts for one medium, but the creator can choose which one.

Applying for birthday badges

If you are applying for the Celebrator, reply to the Celebrator comment and:
- list the titles of THREE fanworks posted to the comm in February 2017.


If you are applying for the Bon Vivant, reply to the Bon Vivant comment and:
- list the titles of FOUR fanworks posted to the comm in February 2017
