“You realize that Grandfather is going to be furious? That’s his youngest son’s stuff, and you two just…how did this even happen? You two flooded Arafinwë’s room with hot water from the bathroom, and you didn’t realize that it was happening?” Maedhros ran his hands through his hair. “How?”

Celegorm mumbled, “We sort of meant for his bedroom to flood.”

Maedhros stared. “Excuse me?”

“We meant for his bedroom to flood. Arafinwë wants to marry one of Olwë’s daughters, so he must like the water, right?” Caranthir replied.

“That is a horrible excuse.” Maedhros shook his head. “Just clean this all up, now, and then we’re going to see Grandfather.”

“But-”

“Clean!”
