I haven't heard about this before, but OMG I'd love to see more of this holonovel (and Naomi on the holodeck in general), this stuff is always so interesting for me. :D And one of the reasons I love Voyager is that they don't just mention these things for 5 minutes and then move on, they actually make a whole episode about it, or sometimes even more than one. Same with the Leonardo da Vinci thing. :D
I just love Naomi. Sometimes I like to think about the woman she would have grown up into. Like she grew up in a really insular community where everyone was good to each other and she had these absolutely BAMF women around her (her mom, Janeway, Seven, Belanna) and all these people encouraging her to be whomever she wanted to be. How safe and nurtured she must have felt. For a child to grow up in that sort of environment....well she'd make one hell of an adult. She'd probably find adjusting to the AQ odd.
