“They say you’re a monster now, Nelyo,” Fingon said, sitting at the table next to Nelyo’s bed.

Maedhros grimaced. “Perhaps they have a point, whoever they are. I assume your brother is one of them.”

“He will change his mind eventually,” Fingon said. “He just misses Elenwë and blames you all.”

“Perhaps he has a point,” Maedhros replied. “Maybe he’s the smart one of you all, to not forgive my brothers and I for what we’ve done.”

“You’re not all monsters.” Fingon rolled his eyes.

“What else but monsters would kill their own brother?” Maedhros asked.

“You turned aside.”

“And let my brother burn, unintentionally or not.”

Fingon didn’t reply.
