As a training officer, John Cooper's job is to teach his trainee everything they need to be a good cop.

The trainees come out of the Academy shiny and new, bursting with civic pride and the feeling that they can accomplish anything. Being a cop is never that simple or easy.

It's dangerous out there. Violent. Plenty of bullshit too. If they're not prepared they'll get themselves killed, or worse, get him killed. Since John's not ready to die he's going to make sure they're ready. He hasn't lost a trainee yet and he's not about to lose one now.
