Surviving getting swallowed and then cutting his way out of a newborn Kaiju's stomach had been no easy task, but finding out the portal was closed and therefore the very core of his business dried up? Living through that was going to take some doing. Luckily, he was just the man for the job.

The first thing he did was shut everything down, taking everything off the market and nipping the entire supply chain in the bud. He made sure none of his people sold anything to anyone for a whole week. Not only was it the only way to prevent greedy schmucks from buying up stock and then trying to resell it later when word of the portal's closing spread and collectors went nuts, but it sent demand through the roof.

Then, when enough time had passed that everyone was desperate and begging for his wares, he'd open up the floodgates and let the goods begin to trickle out at triple their typical price and watch the money pour in. It wouldn't last forever, not without more Kaijus coming through for Jaegers to kill, but, with a little planning, he was sure he'd make it work. He always did.
