Doctor Who: Fanfic: Ash Like Rain

  • Dec. 9th, 2013 at 7:11 PM
Title: Ash Like Rain
Challenge #67: Weather
Fandom: Doctor Who
Rating: G
Length: 100 words
Summary: Everything on the planet was dead.
Author's Note: Also written for [livejournal.com profile] consci_fan_mo

What greeted him was one of the Doctor's most feared, and most hated, sights: a burned out shell of a planet that should be teeming with life. He stood in the doorway of the TARDIS watching as ash fell from the sky like rain and smoke drifted across the landscape, like mist off a mountain.

So much death and destruction.

They never learned. In all his years, in all he had seen and done, there would always be those who simply do not learn. But that doesn't mean he'll stop trying.

Shutting the door, he began planning his next destination.
