The first time was chaste and she didn’t remember because he had the good sense—or not so good sense—to wipe her memory of it clean.

The second time, she was hurting. He kissed her quickly before making a short quip and leaving her before she said anything more.

The third time was a mistake, or so she said when she gave into the illustrious liquor and kissed him.

The fourth time he had her pinned against a wall, letting his hands touch her any way he pleased while he knew that she would regret the way her lips met his over and over.

The fifth time, she was covered in blood, her fangs dripping with red, tangy life. He couldn’t help but think that she had never been so attractive in his immortal life. And so he took her, claimed her the way he wanted, hard and fast as they ripped into each other’s skin and sucked until they were satisfied.

Part of him thinks that he can never go back. He can’t give her back. If the fates and stars deem it so, Damon Salvatore was going to keep Elena Gilbert from now until the rest of eternity.
