Title: Now When the Rain Falls
Fandom: The Scarlet Pimpernel
Rating: G
Content notes: none
Summary: Fingerless gloves inspired by the Scarlet Pimpernel musical.
INTRODUCTION AND NOTES
In the concept album of The Scarlet Pimpernel, there's a song from before Marguerite knows who the Scarlet Pimpernel is, where she is grieving the fact that her husband seems to fall out of love with her. These gloves pay subtle tribute to that song, while still being good for everyday wear and not overtly fannish. The wrist has a geometric rain motif, while (since it really is the existence of the Pimpernel that's causing all her problems) the back of the hand has a shadowy beaded pimpernel.

Comments
Also, I now feel obliged to refer to the purple pimpernel birthmark on the baby's behind in The Court Jester. :)
I love the idea of fanknitting and kudos for being able to get it done in ten days :o
Yeah, coming up with the idea, getting the supplies, and then knitting the gloves all in ten days was a bit of a challenge. My fanknitting projects seem to always be posted right before the deadline, as I'm frantically running around the house trying to get photos taken and uploaded in time. It's fun though. :-)
