A/N: Not beta-d. Just posting by the seat of my pants today! (again) Also I scheduled this to post tomorrow. So that I wouldn't forget and so that I wasn't flooding the community with two posts right in a row. My apologies if it happens to not work properly!



“I have no desire to go on this family outing of sorts,” Brian crossed his arms and gave Michael a matter-of-fact look.

“Oh come on, Bri. The kids will love it.”

“The kids?” He raised an eyebrow. “Or you?”

Michael rolled his eyes quickly and huffed. “Seriously. I promised JR we would take her.”

“Only your kid, Mikey. Only your kid, your little girl would want to go to an animal farm
for a family outing.”

It was the smaller man’s turn to cross his arms. He shot Brian a look and looked down. “Come on.”

Brian sighed. “Fine. But you owe me. And something is wrong with your child.”

“Dad!” Gus came flying around the corner. Brian barely had time to bend down and reach his arms out before the little boy’s arms were around his neck. “Did you hear we are going to a farm? A real farm! Do you think that they have sheep? And pigs? I hope they have pigs!” The little boy’s eyes were lit up.

Brian cast a glance over in Michael’s direction, his tongue snaking out to lick his lips before he shot him a look and said quickly. “Don’t.”

His best friend held up both of his hands, trying not to laugh. “Not saying a word.”

“I hate you.”

Gus gasped. “You can’t hate Uncle Mikey!” He twisted in Brian’s arms and grinned in his uncle’s direction before looking back at Brian, his face and tone suddenly both serious. “Are you mad because he doesn’t want to go to the farm and you do, Daddy?” His little hands rest on either side of Brian’s cheeks as he looked over his shoulder again, at Michael. “It’ll be fun, Uncle Mikey!”

Michael squeaked out a quick laugh and nodded. “I’ll try to suffer through, Gus.”
