Harry looked up at her in surprise. “What did you say?”

Hermione shrugged. “I told him the truth. I told him that we are different now.”

Harry got out of his chair and circled his desk to stand in front of her. “How did you explain it?” They had decided not to speak of that night, after all. They had agreed it was a mistake.

“We were friends.”

“And now?” he asked cautiously.

“And now… we’re more,” Hermione said with a grin before she leant forward and placed her lips on his.
