Author Notes: This is mostly dialogue between Nathan, Audrey, Diana (Duke), and her husband. I think it's pretty amusing.
Summary: Nathan has a run in with Diana that reveals more about the both of them to Audrey than he ever wanted her to know.


“Diana, who’s this?”

“Nathan, Audrey, Justin. Justin, Nathan, Audrey.”

“Justin Ryan. Diana never told me she had friends in town.”

“We’re not exactly…friends.” Audrey elbows him in the side.

“Well, I hope to change that once I’ve settled in.”

“Settled in?”

“Diana hasn’t told you? I see how it is. I’m her husband.” The way he wraps an arm around Diana possessively makes Nathan’s hackles rise. Especially with the look of murderous discomfort on her face.

“Married?”

“Yes, and we’ll be going now.” Diana grabs Justin’s hand and drags him away.

“Well, I certainly didn’t expect that.” Audrey looks at him. “Do you want to talk about it?”

“Nope.”

“Well that certainly explains a lot of things about you two. Diana certainly has a type. Don’t you think Justin looks a bit like you?”

“Still not talking about it, Parker.”

“You mean how she found a less law abiding version of you and married him? Or how she wouldn’t look at you while she made introductions that left out important details?”

“Married?”

“I don’t know.”

“Nathan, you just can’t keep ignoring it.”

“Yes, I can and so can you because they do not concern us unless they get in the way of one of our investigations. Is that clear?”

“Crystal."
