Will started counting under his breath as soon as today's fresh meat came tapping down the hallway.

He'd just reached thirty seven when a loud "Oh my god," echoed back to his cell.

"Are you quite all right, Ms. Collier?" Hannibal enquired politely. The only response was a clang, and the sound of retching.

Will chuckled under his breath. He lifted up one leg of his bunk and felt for the piece of chalk he kept there. He added another mark to his tally and wondered which would run out first – his wall space or Jack's supply of students.
