Author Notes: I've never been confident enough to write about Castlevania, but I love it so~ Hope this does the franchise justice.
Summary: The heat kicks out in Genya's apartment and Soma is freezing his butt off. Too bad Genya has skin colder than fresh-fallen snow.

Soma curled up on his side of the bed with the blanket wrapped tightly around his slender form. Fleece pajamas did little for him because they were slightly big on him. It was his own damn fault for getting stranded in the rain.

"Uwaa!" he shrieked as a frigid touch alighted against his cheek. Growling, he peered over his shoulder at the tall man behind him, "W-What are you trying to do? Scare me to death or have me die of hypothermia?"

The corners of Genya's lips twitched with amusement. "If it were possible to die of excessive whining then you'd already expire." He threw another blanket onto the small pile that housed his boyfriend before climbing into bed beside Soma. "Are you really that cold? The heat should be restored by morning."

"Sorry, look, I shouldn't complain so much..." muttered Soma with his face buried in the pillow, covers pulled up to his neck. "I just hate the cold is all."

Genya wasn't allowed to hold the boy like he normally did while they slept. In spite of the entertainment it provided, spurring on Soma's discomfort didn't seem like a keen idea at the moment. All Genya really wanted was to soothe Soma so that he could sleep with a clear conscience.

"I have a solution if you're willing," he said softly, moving to pull the blankets back from Soma's face. "It may seem a bit strange."

"Is he trying to accommodate me?" Soma thought and glanced over his shoulder again at the stoic man. "Well, there's a first time for everything..." Pushing himself up on his elbows, he lifted himself slightly to peck his boyfriend's lips in acquiescence. "It's nice of you to accommodate me like this."

Genya narrowed his eyes and deadpanned, "You'll whine the entire night if I don't do something."

"Yeah, yeah. Nice recovery, but I see through that facade of yours," bragged Soma, leaning back on his elbows with a little grin. "Well? What are you going to do for me?"

Rather than explain himself, Genya rose from the bed and murmured something before a bright light engulfed him. Wincing, Soma used his hands to shield his eyes and when he looked again...all he saw in Genya's place was an enormous, purple wolf.

"The fuck?"

'Genya' whuffed and rolled his golden eyes, padding across the bed to wrap himself around Soma as he sat down. His fur was incredibly soft and, holy shit, he's actually warm now. Soma carefully laid down once more and moved around so that Genya was more comfortable behind him.

"Huh. I didn't know you could do that," he muttered, mostly to himself, and buried his face in a mass of purple fur. "Mm...You're nice 'n fluffy, though."

Snorting gently, Genya leaned down and pressed his snout to Soma's cheek.

"I love you, too." Soma lifted his head and beamed back at him, stretching to kiss a patch of fur between Genya's narrow eyes. "G'night."
