Romeo + Juliet: Poetry: Two Acrostics

  • Apr. 20th, 2016 at 9:50 PM
Title: Two Acrostics
Fandom: Romeo + Juliet
Rating: G
Length: 60
Content/Author notes: Two acrostics for two deaths by gunshot.
Summary: too short to need one

Mischief's master
Eyes ringed with kohl
Red wax on his lips
Comes between the quarreling guns
Unaffected no more
Takes what was meant for Romeo —
Injured; bitter; unfinished, bleeds
Out into a shallow grave.

Juliet, who kissed Romeo
Under the stars, who
Lit men's hearts on fire, now
In this cold crypt,
Ends with intent. A shot rings out:
Too soon.
