Summary: Susan is the first to stop playing



Every once in a while, after Narnia, the Pevensie children will play do-you-recall. They toss around names and places, events and moments, all far away and distant. The adults smile indulgently and call it a game.

It isn't.

Susan is the first to stop playing; she listens but doesn't participate. It hurts too much. They can never go back, so why does it matter if they remember?

(Much later, after a train crash destroys her world yet again, she sometimes will murmur "do you recall--" There is no one left to answer her, but somehow that makes it important again.)
