Dryad had never danced before in her life. Considering that she had existed for hundreds of years, perhaps thousands, that struck Tristan as unbelievable, though not as unbelievable as her asking him to join her on the floor at the inn and help her learn. He accepted, though he could feel the eyes of his (human) companions boring into him, full of curiosity. Dryad normally existed, like any Soul, as a voice inside his head, lending him power. But he let all unanswered questions disappear into the ether when he discovered how warm and alive she became in his arms.
