Note: While technically I don't think I've ever posted this online, it isn't exactly new. In fact, it's probably the first poem I ever wrote. I was somewhere around 10, I think. It fits the prompt, and since I likely won't post anything else in time...

Thoughts by grade school Hyper
"Thoughts"

Locked in a corner of my mind,
I've discovered an astonishing find.
I've learned to think,
So take a drink
Of my thoughts.

Sometimes I ask myself:
Am I big, or small?
Short or tall?
Am I anyone at all?

Though the mirror may show my outer looks,
It cannot tell that I like books.
The things that only I can know,
Are what the mirror will not show.

Ok, that was pretty rhymey and predictable, sorry. I'm just a little amazed I remembered it all from over 35 years ago. IIRC, I wrote and performed this for a camp talent show. Baby's first slam!
