It had felt like your only chance to get into the tower, to get Aeris out. Midgar would be in chaos, above and below, and if you did it right you’d be able to take care of things before they could catch you. You believed that, right up until the big Turk showed up behind you and told you to go up.

Now you’re locked in a holding cell, waiting to be made into a scapegoat for the President’s most despicable atrocity. It stings a little, as you realize how misguided you were.
