Not having to handle the basic needs of being a human – eating, sleeping, and all that – left a great deal of free time, and no longer having to go into the Labyrinths only added to that, so ... things started getting done around Fort City. Buildings that had gone to seed one day turned up completely refurbished the next morning, streets full of rubble got cleared in short order, and everyday people who needed a hand found themselves a small army of little helpers. The Star God had taught his Children, after all, that everything begins with compassion and kindness.
