Doyle still doesn't know what he did wrong. What did he do that enabled Kovac to work out he was a plant? It must have been the fight, when Twig had been shoving him around. Was he too aggressive? Not aggressive enough?

Bodie successfully managed to infiltrate the group. And Williams. Somehow the MI6 agent had been accepted. So why wasn't he?

"You're overthinking things," Bodie says. "It all worked out okay in the end."

"I just want to know what I did wrong," Doyle grumbles. "Not too much to ask is it?"

"So you can do better next time?"

"What if next time you're not there to save me?" Doyle looks at Bodie, willing his partner to understand.

"That won't happen." Bodie grins. "I always have your back."

"Ditto," Doyle says but Bodie has rolled away from him to turn out the light and Doyle doesn't think he heard.

Bodie's fingers twine around his own. "Go to sleep."

"But---"

"Sleep," Bodie growls. "That's an order."

"Yes, sir." Doyle settles back into Bodie's warm embrace and closes his eyes. Tomorrow he will work out what he did wrong but right now Bodie is next to him. Doyle relaxes into sleep.
