Bodie has never been one for anticipating the weekends. In his world Saturday and Sunday are just work days, the same as all the rest. Even at CI5 where his rest days are supposed to come at set intervals he knows not to set too much store on them in case Cowley should call him in regardless of what day it is.

But today - this particular Sunday - he has been looking forward to this. His whole body tingles as he unlocks the door to his flat. He knows what is waiting for him on the other side. Doyle, naked and stretched out in his bed. His for the taking.

He is already picturing his partner in his head. Doyle has a beautiful body and Bodie fully intends to spend the whole day admiring it.

"Ray?" He calls out as he pushes the door closed behind him. It'd be pretty silly if he got himself all worked up and Doyle wasn't here.

"Yeah. C'mon, Bodie. I've been waiting hours for you."

A rush of blood to his groin makes Bodie smile. "Stop exaggerating. I haven't been that long."

"Long enough," Doyle grumbles. "There’s only so much Len Deighton you can read."

"That's funny." Bodie puts his head around the bedroom door. Doyle smiles seductively. "Couldn't you find anything else to do?"

Doyle drops the book he was holding and moves his hand downwards, stroking himself. Bodie moans.

"What are you waiting for?" Doyle pats the bed with his free hand. "Time to get your kit off."

"I will," Bodie says. He licks his lips. "Just as soon I put the wine away."

"Screw the wine," Doyle growls, "and then come over here and screw me."

Behind Bodie the telephone starts to ring. In front of him Doyle, a very erect Doyle, sits up. "Don't answer it."

"It might be my dentist."

"Then he can wait."

"It might be Cowley."

"That goes double for Cowley," Doyle says. He reaches one hand towards Bodie. " I've been waiting all week for this. You've been waiting all week for this and now you're bloody well going to have me."

Bodie smiles and starts to strip off his clothes. It looks like he won't be answering the telephone after all.
