The last thing Shaw remembers is lying on a street corner in Manhattan, her former mentor disappearing into the crowd. Waking up in an ambulance disorients her, and not knowing where it's taking her puts her even more on edge. She attacks the driver, wanting to get herself free of the situation.

The second time Shaw wakes, a dog is licking her face. She knows this was Finch's and Reese's doing. She steps out of the ambulance and meets them in a graveyard. How fitting. She still doesn't trust them, but they might be useful later. Shaw takes Finch's card and drives away in the ambulance, leaving them behind. Now that the ISA thinks she is dead, she's got a second chance at life. She has a pretty good idea where to start.
