Spike slammed the door, seething, pacing in restless circles in his crypt before driving his fist into the wall, picturing Xander’s face in place of the rough concrete breaking his skin.
“Bloody git!” he gritted out.
For once, Spike had wanted nothing more than to pay his respects to Joyce, but of course they wouldn’t believe him. He was just a monster to them, incapable of feeling anything but bloodlust.
Joyce had been the only one to treat him like a man, and now…
Sighing, he resolved to light some candles for her and prepared to watch a “Passions” marathon.
