After a training session at the cemetery, the Potentials giggled and chattered on the way back.
Buffy and Spike trailed behind, walking side by side.
“They literally riddled you with questions,” Buffy said, half-smiling. “Fangs, feeding, your soul… how you style your hair without a reflection.”
Spike snorted. “Yeah, they surely had a wide range of queries.”
Buffy glanced at him. “They’re curious about vampires. About you.”
He hesitated. “Some seemed more interested in… us.”
“Oh, that. They’ve been gossiping nonstop since I freed you from that cave.”
“Doesn’t that bother you?”
“I don’t care what anyone says. Not anymore.”
