Spike froze after coming home from his shift with SFPD. “Uh, Buffy?” he called, “There’s a huge-arse stuffed bear in our living room.”
“He’s your new bedmate,” she said from the couch. “He doesn’t snore, hog the covers, or complain to Xander about said bad habits.”
Spike swallowed a growl—Harris was so dead. “I wasn’t complaining, pet. We were… sharing notes on… married life. Affectionately.”
“You told Xander that I snore like a bear!”
“So you’re taking revenge on me with this monstrosity? I tell you all the time!”
“It should’ve stayed between us. Tonight you’re snuggling with the bear.”
