Sunny crouched, tail high as she wriggled her hindquarters to prime herself, then launched at the dreaded beast. She missed! A gust of wind sent it sweeping past her head, its wings shimmering in the sunlight. The dragon circled, trying to catch her from behind, but she was a clever hunter and leapt into the air, twisting, stretching out her claws to capture it. They plummeted to the ground. Its wings crinkled in her grasp as she bit hard and kicked her hind legs against its body. It was no match for Sunny, the mightiest hunter of them all! But in her moment of triumph she felt it tugging. With a jerk it flicked out of her grasp and was free, sailing off into the blue sky. Sunny sat up and carefully licked her paws clean before sauntering over to the bowl of Frisky Bits. The dragonfly toy lazily circled its pole to tempt another foolish cat into an unwinnable battle.
