Shen Yurong comes to tell her himself. Zhao Jing slaps his face in frustration, heedless of the blood seeping through his robes.

“How dare you protect her!”

He mouths something-- an excuse, well-rehearsed-- and Zhao Jing slaps him again. She chose him, and he tells her that she is the only one in his heart, but his eyes are so distant these days.

Zhao Jing will do anything to bring him back to her. She can do anything.

She killed that girl once before, after all. She will kill her as many times as she has to, until it works.
