Buffy followed Spike in the half-empty parking lot, sulking with her arms crossed. “Did you really have to make me sit through all the credits?”
“Yes. It’s payback for making me sit through a two-hour chick flick.”
“Says the guy who watches reruns of Dawson’s Creek,” she said, rolling her eyes. “Besides, it was one hour and a half at most, and the term is rom com.”
Spike stopped at his car and turned to face Buffy. “Yeah, that’s just a fancy word for chick flick. And sometimes credits come with a secret ending. Like in Pirates of the Caribbean.”

“You mean the suckfest that you made me sit through last week?”
Spike’s mouth dropped. “That’s it. I want a divorce.”
“Come on! It was nothing like the first three movies!”
He scoffed. “You only say that because you didn’t get to gawp at pretty boy Will Turner.”
“I actually prefer Jack,” she corrected, smirking. “Which shouldn’t be surprising, because I obviously have a thing for cunning jerks. I married one.”
Spike shrugged. “You’ve called me worse, I’ll take it.”
“Maybe I’ll go as Jack Sparrow on Halloween,” said Buffy.
“Wait… What about me?”
“A wench?”
“A’right. But no heels.”
