The five players were sitting around the table, studying each other. Colorful chips were arranged in small and bigger neat piles in front of them, with some scattered in the middle of the table.
“Xander?” asked Clem, drumming his loose-skinned fingers on the back of his cards.
“Yeah, uh, I’m out,” he said, dropping his cards.
Dawn tossed a chip in the middle. “I’m in.”
Spike did the same. “Me too.”
“Couldn’t be more out,” said Clem. “Buffy?”
“Um…” she cast a puzzled look at her hand. “In?”
Spike scoffed. “Are you asking?”
“I’m confused! What’s a Full House, again?”

Xander leaned in. “Not what you have.”
“So what do I have?”
He whispered it in her ear and she perked up. “That’s a good one! Right?” she asked, hesitantly.
Xander looked doubtful and Dawn heaved a frustrated sigh. “Guys? Remember our talk about bluffing?”
“This is a friendly game, Dawn, let it go,” said Clem. “What do you got, Buffy?”
She showed her hand. “Three fives.”
Spike smirked, displaying his cards. “Flush.”
“Amateurs,” said Dawn. “Four nines.”
“You won again?” exclaimed Buffy, in disbelief.
She grinned, gathering her winnings. “I bet Spike regrets teaching me all his dirty tricks.”
