Tommy knew that Evan was happy he could be at the wedding, even if it were just the reception winding down time. He wasn't sure why he had allowed the team to drop him off there still in his turnouts and covered in soot, but the smile on Evan's face was more than enough for him to be okay with it. He would have to go back to Harbor to get his car, so it wasn't like it would be hard to drop off the turnouts later.

The wedding party was all outside, so no one was around other than staffers who were looking after the outside of the place when Tommy walked up to Evan, who was waiting outside for him.

"Sorry, I'm late. That fire was a beast," Tommy said as he stepped the final few steps.

Evan looked Tommy up and down, there was hunger in his eyes that Tommy hadn't seen before. "So are you." Evan grabbed him by the neck and hauled him in for a kiss. Even though Tommy had been fighting a fire for over half a day, he felt that burn of arousal start. The hungry hum he let out as he kissed Evan back was something he would never be ashamed of. Evan really did it for him. The kiss went on longer than was probably anywhere close to decent in public like they were. Long before he wanted to, Tommy broke the kiss.

"Got somewhere I can change?"

"Yes, I brought in your bag and dropped it in the room I was using to get ready. There is a shower in there."

"Great, I'll follow you, and you don't have to wait for me." Tommy brushed his thumbs over the soot all over Evan's face, but there was no getting it off since Tommy was covered in it as well.

"Nah, I'll set out your stuff while you're in the shower and wipe down the counter. I won't peek."

"Don't care if you peek. I am not letting you talk me into anything here right now."

Evan laughed, and just like every other time, a smile lit up his face. Tommy followed Evan into the depths of the wedding hall, and the wedding that had started out as something that Evan said was supposed to be at the house but that Howie had talked Maddie into going for what she actually wanted. Her first wedding had been about the man she had been married to before. This was about her.

Tommy stripped in the bathroom, hoping the cleaners didn't charge Maddie and Howie more for the soot everywhere. There was only so much he could do other than stripping outside, and that was not the kind of place this was.

"It's safe," Tommy yelled when he was inside the shower, which was way too big for anything but something fun going on inside of it. He looked at the door to see it open, and Evan came in and puttered around inside of there. "How was it?"

"I finally am not blotchy from crying. Maddie was beautiful and so happy. There was so much crying and so much fun going on. There was nothing that felt wrong about this wedding, which she didn't have the first time. She got her dream wedding."

"And Howie?"

"He cried more than her. Jee was adorable as the flower girl. There was so much happiness."

Tommy left Evan alone since it seemed like he was stuck on the happy part. Tommy could see how it was from the rest of them.

"Oh, my God."

"What?" Tommy looked back at Evan again to see him looking at himself in the mirror.

"That's a lot of soot, which I knew I would have some on me, but really, that's just wrong."

"You were the one that kissed me like you were dying, and it was the only thing that could save you."

"I kissed you because you are a four-course meal covered in soot and turnouts, which I never really got before now. I mean, I knew people saw it, but I never did."

"You mean the flight suit onesies don't do it for you?"

"Oh, that does things alright, just different things."

Tommy laughed and turned back to make sure that he had covered as much of his body as possible and that everything was running clean off him.

"Okay, my face is clean, and I will head out. I'll be waiting out here."

"Sure."

Tommy didn't take his time, but he made sure he was put together when he came out. The suit had been out of the question when he had not been able to get the day fully off, so he opted for a pair of nice pants and a dress shirt. He knew Evan didn't care what he looked like as long as he was there. Howie and Maddie knew that he would be there as Evan's date but also knew that his being on-call might mean he would miss it.

"Damn," Evan said when Tommy came out of the bathroom. "You didn't do anything with your hair."

"Not really. I've been told this is sexy."

Evan laughed, pulled Tommy in close, and kissed him. When he pulled back, Tommy checked over his face area to see the soot was gone, even if it had kind of been cute on him. He didn't think that if this had been something else, Evan would have minded the soot on his face, but not in pictures for his sister's wedding. If this had been late and there was no chance, Tommy would have loved to have left it there, knowing that Evan had just been so excited to see him and kiss him that he wasn't worried.

"My clothes are fine, right?"

"Yes, I tried not to touch you anywhere but your face."

"Then let's go. You can leave everything in here, and we can take care of it later. I'm sure that I can get a bag of some kind to put the turnouts into."

Tommy followed Evan out into the crowds of people clustered around the place. Most of the people Tommy recognized were people with whom Howie and Maddie worked. There were also people he had no idea who they were. He knew Howie's adoptive parents because of Kevin's funeral. Their faces had stuck with him. Then there was Jee-Yun. That little girl was the most known of the people he had never met because Evan had so many pictures of him and her on his phone.

"TOMMY!" Chris yelled.

That drew everyone's attention to them. Tommy stayed behind Evan, letting him do it all. They went right to the group that was crowded off to the

"Sorry, I'm late by a lot but I'm glad the party is still going. Congratulations," Tommy said.

"You were busy," Howie said as he held out his hand.

Tommy came around Evan to shake his hand and then to hug Maddie when she pulled him into a hug. "The bathroom is a little bit of a mess. I got dropped here in my turnouts and covered in soot. That first was a beast."

"I've been keeping an eye on it," Bobby said.

Tommy looked at Bobby, holding his hand for a shake, when he noticed that Athna was looking at Evan with a raised eyebrow.

"It's about damned time," Hen said.

"What?" Evan asked, and he turned to her.

"Here, baby, you might want to get the soot on you," Athena said, handing Evan a tissue.

Tommy looked at Evan and tried to find the soot. He found it all around Evan's ears, behind the one, and down his neck a little. There was nothing to be done for the little bit on the collar of his shirt.

"Where? I got it all off from around my..." Evan swallowed, and he looked at Tommy.

This had always been where he had been going as Evan's date, but this was a little off the cuff when it came to coming out. There was no mistaking where the soot had to come from and how it got there.

"Here," Maddie said as she took the tissue from Evan and licked it before wiping down the side of Evan's head and then checking the other side.

"How did that get on you?" a woman asked as she came over. "You haven't been near a fire in days."

A man stepped up behind her, and Tommy looked at their faces, trying to place them.

"He was," Eddie said. He used the bottle of the beer he was drinking to point at Tommy.

The look of betrayal on Evan's face at Eddie's words was belayed with Bobby laughing. The comment that Howie said at one point about these two being two halves of a whole idiot came back at that moment.

"Who was?"

"Mom, Dad, this is Tommy Kinard, one of Howard's oldest friends in the LAFD and my boyfriend," Evan said.

Tommy looked at the woman, who looked at him and then at Evan. Tommy wanted to step over and protect him.

"You never told us you were bisexual," the man said.

"It's new. I never knew until...well, this lug of a guy." Evan held out his hand so Tommy could slip his hand into his. "Tommy, this is my mother and father, Phillip and Margaret Buckley."

"It's a pleasure." Tommy held out his hand for a shake with Phillip.

"You knew," Hen said.

"Of course I did," Eddie said.

Tommy stayed back, not drawing attention to himself as this was about Evan and his family.

"So, you are a firefighter?" Phillip asked.

"Yes, Sir. I work out of Harbor Station. I've been there since I left the 118. It's officially Station 217, but we call it Harbor or Air Operations. Normally, I'm flying into fires and dealing with things like that, but sometimes, we are needed as bodies, and last night's fire was massive. B-Shift for the 118 was bitching that it didn't happen during A-Shift's shift."

"Hungry?" Eddie asked as he stepped up to clasp Eddie on the shoulder.

"Yes, starved, actually."

"Good. I put back some food for you."

"You said that was for Chris!" Hen called out.

"And you believed me." Eddie pulled Tommy with him away from the group.

Evan glanced at him once, and Tommy pulled away from Eddie, quick enough to kiss Evan before going with Eddie.

"He'll be fine. Hen won't let them do anything to him, but I thought that maybe it would be best to let them all talk without you around, and they all know where I will end up on the whole conversation. How are you doing?"

"Tired as hell, but I know I'll be here a little while you guys clean up and deal with things. I don't mind. I just wanted to be here with Evan. Well, that and giving Howie hell on his wedding day. I half expected to end up at the hospital or something."

"Well, that was possible. He did have to deal with a patient who caught something he might have caught, but he was treated for it, as were all of us, just in case. A gung-ho nurse made sure to check the records for the rescue to make sure that none of us were at risk, and he was."

"That's good it was caught."

Tommy looked at the plate that was settled off to the side, with a note over the top warning that they would be stealing from a child if anyone touched it. "And if I hadn't gotten here?"

"Chris would have had food." Eddie sat down and motioned for Tommy to do the same. "It's another hour here, as there were a few who didn't get to come to the ceremony but could make it to this part. We have another dance time set up for a little bit from now. So Buck will get that dance with you that he wanted."

"Should I call him Buck here?" Tommy asked.

"Has he asked you to?"

"No."

"Then don't. He's firm with that when he wants to be. He's never asked you, even when Chim got distracted with the whole introduction thing and forgot that part. He'll be fine with you calling him Evan here. His parents still do when emotional. It's a hot point sometimes, but not nearly as much as it used to be."

"I got that when he's not asked me to change it. I just didn't want to make things hard."

"You might get sass from Chris, but then Chris claims to be the only one to call him Bucky. Just don't do that, and no one will care what you call Buck here."

"Sass?"

"There was a guy once who called him Evan, and Chris said, 'Who the heck is Evan?' This made Buck laugh his ass off, and the guy ended up being upset at being ignored. He was an asshole who read the name off the card Buck had inserted in the kiosk at the shop we were in. Buck didn't realize until later the guy was hitting on him. Then, unless we are on calls, he misses it. Sometimes, we are in bars that he catches on, but in shops and out to eat? Never. He is so focused on what he's doing that he doesn't catch on. Or he's good at making us think that."

"A woman hit on him when we were getting coffee and setting up the plans for this. She wasn't graceful when he said he was already on a date." he went away pissed off." Tommy dug into the food and looked around. The place looked wonderful, and the weather was nice for once. It was the kind of thing that rarely happened for outdoor weddings, even in LA.

"Hi," Jee-Yun said as she came over to them.

"Hi," Tommy said. He looked up to see that Maddie had been watching Jee, but as soon as she made contact and Tommy looked at her, she looked away. He and Eddie were in charge of her, at least for now.

"I Jee-Yun."

"I'm Tommy," Tommy said. When she held out her hand, he took it to shake it.

Jee crawled into a chair and sat down on her knees, a grin on her face, before she reached out for the desserts on a plate on the table.

"She doesn't have any allergies, and that's a tray for the kids."

"That's good." Tommy scooted the plate closer. He smiled at Jee when she smiled at him. She settled in with the treat and just stared at him.

Tommy tried to focus on his food, and he looked at Eddie a few times to see the asshole just sipping at his bottle of beer and grinning at him. He felt like Eddie was getting him to pass a test of sorts.

"Hey," Evan said. He picked up Jee and plopped her into his lap as he sat down.

Jee-Yun screeched, and she laughed when Evan tickled her side.

"Are you entertaining Tommy, Jee?" Evan asked.

"Yes."

"Good. He needs it. The music is about to start up again. The first song that Maddie picked for this section is not one that I like, so I'm skipping it, but the next, you are the only number on my dance card."

"Dance card? I know that I'm old, but I am not that old."

"Blame him," Evan said as he pointed at Eddie.

"What? I asked him how many spots he saved for you on his dance card. Speaking of, I need to find Hen. She was chatting with Jean about something, and I want to get in a dance before she moves on to just dancing with Karen again."

"Where is Marisol?" Tommy asked.

"Work, she moved shifts but couldn't get the whole day off. She left about an hour and a half ago."

Tommy watched Eddie leave and then looked at Evan, who was just looking at Tommy and smiling.

The music turned from background music to something a little louder, and people headed toward the dance floor. Others settled in at tables around the dance floor.

"You sure you don't want to dance to this?"

"I'm sure. I want to do it to the next song, so I'll drop this one off with her parents, and we will head to the dance floor."

Jee reached out for another cookie, but thankfully, she was taking the small ones on the plate.

Tommy started to eat a little faster. It wasn't enough to tide him over, but it would do for now. When he got home after this, he could eat something before sleeping.

"Ready?" Tommy asked when he popped the last bite into his mouth and held out his hand.

Evan smiled and stood up, shifting Jee to one hip and taking Tommy's hand with his free hand. More couples were on the floor as the track started up for the next song, just as they were making it onto the floor. Maddie held out her arms for Jee, and Chim moved to allow her to be put between them. It seemed to be a little trio for the dance.

"What is this song?" Tommy asked.

"It's one of Maddie's new favorite songs. She added it at the last minute because it just came out last month."

"Really?"

"Yup."

Tommy pulled Evan in close and got them settled. He wasn't sure what he was expecting, but having Evan let him lead right off with no issue was not that. He expected some kind of fight there.

"Hen never lets me lead," Evan said a few steps into their little shuffle around the floor to the song. Tommy swore he had heard something about alchemy and teams. He knew it was Taylor Swift but hadn't listened to her new album that much. There was something about that song he liked, and he would have to figure it out later.

"That would be fun to see."

"Oh, if you leave me alone on this dance floor around her, I'm going to make you sleep on the couch."

"The dog house already?" Eddie asked as he danced closer with Hen still with him.

"Tommy," Hen said.

"Henrietta," Tommy said, smirking at her before pressing his cheek to Evan's.

"You are lucky you are holding a man who I respect a lot, or I would be making you regret that."

Hen and Eddie moved away again, and a few people laughed at how Hen pulled Eddie along.

"How are you feeling?" Evan asked.

"Good. I can tell I won't last long if we stay dancing."

"Maddie said I could leave soon. There are plenty here willing to help with the last few things. I need to get you back to Harbor. Are you sure you are good to drive?"

"Nope, we can stop there. I'll drop my stuff, and you can take me back tomorrow or something. You have time off as well, right?"

"Yes, this was planned well. It's our normal four off starting yesterday."

"Good. How about you come home with me then?" Tommy nudged until he could kiss Evan.

The kisses had been so good before this, and he wanted to keep doing it now.

When the kiss broke, it was natural for TOmmy to press their cheeks together again. He looked around to see who was looking at them, but no one was really watching them. The only person who looked more than once was Athena, and it changed as they got near the end of the song. She stood up from where she was sitting with Bobby and walked over to them. She tapped Tommy on the shoulder.

"He's mine for now, Kinard. Bobby wants you."

Tommy looked at Evan because he wouldn't leave him to Athena's clutches without permission.

"I am not dancing with Bobby," Tommy said, but he stepped back when Evan nodded.

Bobby was sitting at the table with Maddie now. Howie was on the floor with Jee in his arms and Howie's adopted parents beside them.

"Bobby," Tommy said.

"I guess we were lucky that Buck wiped any of that soot off. I already had someone come and get your turnouts; we got them taken care of. Your car will be at your house as well. You were not the only one who had a car dropped off somewhere; you were just the only one who wasn't with the car."

"You didn't have to do that," Tommy said.

"It wasn't me, but I was made aware since I checked in with your chief to make sure that you were responsible for nothing other than the turnouts being picked up. So, you and Buck."

"Evan and I, yes," Tommy said.

"Evan, huh? He looked happy with you there and waxed poetic about a few things while you were off eating. If he had told us, we could have gotten you more. Chim made a vague comment about a secret date that he was bringing. I'll be honest, I expected Lucy, given that Maddie said Buck's date was off working on a fire." Bobby looked at Maddie, who had just given him a sweet smile.

"Lucy told me about the kiss and what was going on at the time. Evan's been brutally honest about all of his serious relationships, from the one who ghosted him to the death doula. I've been honest with him as well. There is probably more honesty between us than normally would be."

"He said he recently figured it out. I'm not asking for secrets, but he's dodged me, and while I respect his privacy, I'm worried."

"Let me just say that he thought he was jealous of the time that Eddie was spending with me, thinking it was just about Eddie, but it seemed that he also wanted time alone with me. I'll be honest; I wasn't sure what was going on at first. He looked upset when I couldn't get that beer with him when I had plans with Eddie."

"Ah. Hen commented that she had thought he might be bisexual over the last couple of years but wasn't sure exactly what the status of his own knowing he was bisexual was, and she would never tell someone they were queer."

"He tried to dance around it with me, but he dropped a he in the middle after using them and date to describe the person. Then it just derailed from there. He was worried about Eddie and being a fraud with him. I think that Buck has just never spent too much time on his sexuality. He is an honest ally but also just never tried to figure himself out."

"Your parents are going to get him alone at some point."

"They won't say anything to him about it. I made sure of that," Maddie said.

"They don't support him?" Tommy asked.

"I have no clue. I told them that if they ruined my wedding day with this, I would be upset." Maddie smiled at Tommy, and she leaned forward at the table. "So, I'll make sure that they stay away from him for today. We can talk as a family about it without a lot of other people around, and that's all that is needed. If you want to be there, be there. They are doing better than they used to, but they are still having a lot of issues."

Tommy wasn't going to go into what little Evan had told him about his parents, how lonely Evan had been growing up when Maddie left, and how he hadn't really stopped being lonely until coming to the 118.

"I would like it if he lets me. I've told him time and time again that this is all at his pace."

"Good. Go rescue him from my wife," Bobby said.

Tommy looked over to see that Athena was talking, and Evan was blushing so hard that he looked like he had a sunburn.

Then Eddie cut in, and instead of taking Athena's hands, he pulled Evan away from her while Hen swept up Athena. Tommy laughed and turned in his chair to watch Eddie and Evan on the dance floor. He knew there were those who thought it was too close of a relationship, but Tommy saw nothing but a deep and abiding platonic love there.

"Or Eddie will save him," Bobby said.

"He's good at that, but Buck's also good at it. Remember that rescue a few weeks ago where Eddie was getting hit on, and Buck just dropped that Eddie had a kid."

"Oh yeah, that was one of Buck's old hookups, and he knew she was child-free. Of course, Buck made it seem like Eddie had three kids at home."

"Buck counts as two sometimes."

Tommy listened as Maddie, Bobby, and a few others who came to join the conversation told tales about Evan and Eddie. Despite the fire, it was a good day.

---

Tommy unlocked the door and waved for Evan to head in. He was glad that Evan had more clothes with him to change into because the suit he was in would need to be hung up in the garment bag, where it would be safe.

"How hungry are you versus how tired?" Evan asked as he dropped his bag down and then waved the bag of Thai that they had picked up on the way here.

"I'm eating in bed with chopsticks," Tommy said.

"Great, because I didn't get enough sleep last night. Chim can karaoke for hours, and we had fun, but damn. Then today was tiring as well."

Tommy took the food from him. "Get changed, and I'll change after I eat. My suit outfit is not nearly as fussy as yours."

Evan nodded, picked up his bag again, and headed to the back of the house. Tommy was glad when he saw him slip into Tommy's bedroom to change. The sound of the bathroom door shutting a little hard told him that Evan had gone all the way in. Tommy followed with their food, and he wasn't sure how much he wanted to eat. They had gotten enough for a late lunch and dinner after a couple of hours of napping for both of them.

Tommy dropped onto the bed and started to dig out their food. He saw what they would share and then found that they were not sharing. He put that back in the bag for heating up later, and he would have Evan take it to the kitchen.

Evan came out of the bathroom in a soft blue hoodie and shorts. He even had socks on his feet.

"You sleep in socks? I'm not sure I can let you into this bed with socks on."

"Then you get to deal with the ice-cold toes on your legs because my toes always get cold when I sleep and have since I was a kid. So, socks or ice cubes will warm up on your body."

"Socks it is," Tommy said. He handed the bag of food over, and Evan headed to the kitchen to put it up. Tommy headed to the bathroom, wanting out of his clothes as soon as possible. He snagged the clothes he had slept in last and put them on, hoping that Evan didn't mind. They hadn't talked much beyond sleeping and cuddling. There was a lot that they hadn't talked about when it came to sex. It could come later, he figured since they had barely been on three dates so far, and only one of them had been the date they had planned on without an early ending or a late beginning.

Evan was in the bedroom when Tommy came out of the bathroom. He had gotten them both drinks and was sitting on what Tommy assumed was Evan's preferred choice of bedside to sleep on.

"Want me to move?" Evan asked after swallowing the bite of food he had in his mouth.

"No, it's fine. I sleep on whatever side of the bed I fall on. Usually, I end up in the middle."

"Okay." Evan handed over the food container and chopsticks before picking up his drink. He closed his eyes and tipped his head back to drink the entire water bottle in one go, his Adam's apple bobbing.

Despite the exhaustion, Tommy felt himself starting to get aroused. He wasn't even going to touch the whole thing because he didn't want their first time to be when he was this tired. He got down on the bed and dug into the food. He was so glad he had picked this. It was exactly what he wanted. He worked on eating as much as he could before he got thirsty, then handed it back over.

"Nah, I'm done," Evan said.

"Eat a little more. I will finish it, but I don't need that much."

Evan was hesitant, but he took it and nodded. He dug in and ate a few more bites. He handed it back and smiled as he picked up another water bottle.

"How many did you bring in here?"

"Four for me, four for you, or more for me."

"You are going to float away."

"I'm not going to drink them all right now. Sometimes, I wake up from naps really thirsty. So this was better."

Tommy found it adorable. He handed the last bite over to Evan who finished it off.

Despite his long legs, Evan moved easily as he got under the sheets. Once he was under, he looked at Tommy with a shit-eating grin on his face. Tommy took it as a challenge and got under the blankets before acting like he would tell down. He then moved to put himself over Evan.

"Now what?"

Evan cupped his head as he had done outside of the wedding hall and pulled Tommy into a kiss that was just as consuming. Tommy wanted to keep it going as long as he could, but he broke it for a year just a few moments into it. His arms were starting to hit the point of not going anymore, so he moved to the side, cuddling down into Evan. This felt right despite it being the first time they shared a bed.

"How are you feeling?" Evan asked.

"I'm Tired as hell, but it's good. I want to settle down and sleep. Is that okay?"

"Of course."

Evan reached up and turned out the light above his head. The switch for it worked in two spots, at the door and there, to turn the light on.

"Your blackout curtains are good," Evan said as the room plunged into darkness.

"I got them because the shifts I work can be a little weird, as you can tell. It's all based on pilots, of course, or massive fires like that." Tommy shifted a little, then laid his head on Evan's chest, finding a good position and just holding it. He was happy that he could find one. The hoodie Evan was wearing was just as soft as it looked. He threw his arm over Evan's stomach and just stayed like that, slipping into sleep.

"Sleep well." Evan whispering was the last thing he heard.

---

Tommy knew he had moved when he woke up. He couldn't see anything in the room, but he was on his side, and instead of lying on Evan, he wrapped himself around him from behind. There were a lot of places they were touching, but the biggest was the erection pressed into his ass. He nearly rubbed back into that but stopped himself. Sex had not come up yet. Well, it had in the fact that Evan said Tommy didn't need to worry about treating him like he was a stranger to sex.

He hadn't touched it since then since Tommy wasn't sure he was ready to get into that with Evan. Reading about male-on-male sex online and doing it were two different things. Evan was no stranger to heterosexual sex, but there were some differences. Seeing how Evan had dug into a lot of things and researched everything to death from the little time they had spent together and what he had gleaned from Chris talking about him for an hour straight one night about the research Evan helped him with, there was no chance he hadn't researched gay sex to death.

Evan moved, his body shifting and rubbing his cock into Tommy's ass more. There was a good feeling there, and Tommy wanted more of it, but he would wait for Evan to be awake.

"Hmm," Evan hummed before he pressed a kiss to the back of Tommy's neck. "Awake?"

"Yeah," Tommy said, his voice cracking a little. He needed a sip of water but didn't want to leave Evan's arms.

"Thirsty," Evan said, and he rolled away.

Tommy moved to get one of his bottles of water as well. He found he had drunk more than he thought of the second water bottle. He finished it, cracked the third, and drank some of it before rolling back to reach up and turn the light on. He saw Evan was already back and smiling as the light came on.

"That's a little creepy," Tommy said.

"Sorry." Evan's smile didn't fade from his face, though. "How are you feeling?"

"Much better. I need to stay awake for a little while and eat something, but then I think I want to sleep again."

"We can totally do that, but first," Evan said, moving over and putting Tommy on his back. "I want to kiss you."

Tommy pulled Evan down the rest of the way and into a kiss. Evan was careful not to press his cock into Tommy, so Tommy reached down and cupped his ass, pulling him down into him, his half-hard cock rocking into Evan's thigh.

Evan's noise was a pure delight as he started to grind into Tommy. It was the kind of motion that Tommy loved. He didn't have to direct Evan at all as they got into a rhythm.

"Wanna ride you," Evan said when he broke the kiss.

"Ride as in?" Tommy asked. He didn't care which version Evan wanted, but he needed to know which one they would try. Evan loved sex, which was good as Tommy loved sex as well, once he accepted that it was guys who did it for him, not girls.

"Um..." Evan laughed as he trailed off and sat up. He moved to straddle Tommy's groin. "This."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes." Evan looked confused. His nose wrinkled, and his mouth moved like he was talking to himself. "Oh. I guess that we forgot that point, didn't we? There was a lady in Florida who really liked to peg guys. I had never done it before, but I agreed. She fucked me until I came and then worked me back up and let me fuck her hard. After that, I've had a few others, including one past girlfriend who really liked it. I still have the gear that she used in the loft. I'm well aware of what it's like to have a dildo in my ass, Tommy."

Tommy laughed and caught Evan's hands to pull him down into more kisses. He hadn't been expecting that. He should have been, though. Evan was a breath of fresh air, and despite recently figuring out he was bisexual, he wasn't one who put things into little boxes that they never came out of. Tommy had seen the man love to wear pink and do other things that most thought only women should do.

"Okay, then. So you want to ride me here in this bed like this?"

Evan nodded, biting his lip before he looked at both nightstands.

"This one," Tommy said as he reached out and opened the drawer with the condoms and lube. He grabbed the one that he needed and held it out to Evan.

"I'm clean," Evan said.

"Oh, you are huh?" Tommy couldn't take it. He sat up quickly and wrapped an arm around Evan, flipping them over to put Evan on his back. Tommy brushed his mouth over Evan's, and he enjoyed the way that Evan shuddered as he rocked their bodies together. Tommy used his leverage to get his hands on Evan and hold him down on the bed, pressing his hands down into it. They were both still dressed, and that needed to be taken care of. Evan was still in his damned hoodie.

"No," Evan said when Tommy finally broke the newest kiss.

"We need to get naked to get what we want, Evan. I'm also going to lock the bedroom door because while I live alone, Miriam has a key and is not good at knocking before entering the bedroom.

Evan's nose wrinkled, and Tommy couldn't help but kiss him again, so he did it. It was only when he was going just to have them rock themselves to completion that he finally sat up and got off Evan and the bed.

Evan lay there, looking like he had no cares in the world, watching Tommy start to strip what little clothes he had on.

"Socks in bed are fine. Socks on during sex is a hell no. Off," Tommy said.

Evan sat up and pulled the socks off before dropping them off the other side of the bed. He followed with his hoodie. Then was the shorts he was wearing, until they were both naked. Evan held out his hand, and Tommy reached out and held it. He then climbed onto the bed, putting Evan on his back again as he lined up their bodies.

Tommy touched, wanting to have this part never end. Evan was warm, and he made the most wonderful sounds when he was touched. He couldn't wait to have a time when he could have Evan over him fucking him. The idea had been in his head for a while. Pretty much since he had seen Evan walking toward him. There had been few people he had been attacked in turnouts. Yet, in the end, there was Evan standing there in them. He had never been hard while flying into a hurricane before. He was kind of hopeful he never had to fly into another one at any point.

Evan took a few seconds to get his hands on Tommy, but he didn't hesitate once he had them there. He touched and made Tommy feel like he was on fire where Evan was touching him.

"Lube?" Tommy asked.

Evan reached around on the bed and found where it had fallen before handing it over.

"I'm clean, too. I never actually said that. I got tested after the coffee date. It was easy to just slip into another place where I got it done."

"I went to my doctor after Natalia and I broke up. I do it with nearly everyone that I am with. I trust, but I verify."

Tommy laughed, as that shouldn't have been as cute as it was, but it was. He sat back a little and opened the lube. It was his preferred brand. He wondered what lube Evan had at his place if he liked to play with dildos. "Have you used your toys while alone?"

"Yeah. Sometimes, it was what I needed to get off; why?"

"No reason beyond the idea of you in bed with a dildo in hand, fucking yourself while I watch is hot as fuck."

Evan blushed until he noticed what Tommy was doing: slicking up his fingers. Before Tommy could even say a thing, Evan spread his legs more, giving Tommy access. "I like being fingered."

"Oh, you do, huh? But what if I wanted just to get you nice and slick and then were going to get to the point where you ride me? I've had that in my head for a while."

"What to know what's in my head?" Evan asked as Tommy scooted back just enough to get the angle he wanted to push two fingers into him.

There was no resistance at all, and Tommy knew Evan wasn't lying about his experience with his ass. There were men who did like to lie about it, but there was nothing that was even close to him acting like this was something new.

"What?" Tommy asked as he fucked Evan with his two fingers.

"Holding me up against the wall and fucking me, just not in the bathroom. We do not need to have any fire station in this city come to a call like that. Nope, never."

"Hmm, that's a thought too. The way you looked at me when I picked you. You acted like you had never hit someone that was big enough to stop you like that before. It was kind of adorable." Tommy twisted his fingers just a little before he found the spot he wanted. Evan had been hard since they had started kissing but seeing his cock jerk like that.

"Now," Evan said.

Tommy pulled his fingers clean, grabbed the shirt on the side of the bed, and wiped them off. Evan rolled them over, putting Tommy back on his back before they shifted back to the middle of the bed as Evan settled over his hips. Tommy grabbed his waist and held on as Evan slicked up a hand and then Tommy's cock. The lube was cool on his heated skin, and he needed that, or he was afraid he would come the second Evan was sliding down on him.

Evan was sure of himself as he wiped his hand on the shirt that Tommy had used before tossing it to the side. Then he was getting himself ready. The cocky grin that he gave Tommy nearly made Tommy want to put him on his back and wipe that smirk off there, but this was what Evan wanted, and their first time together needed to be what Evan wanted. Tommy could figure out what he wanted later.

There was no hesitation as Evan slid down him; Tommy watched his face. There would be different feelings. Even really good dildos felt different than actual cocks. There was a few seconds where Tommy nearly bucked up into him, but then Evan settled himself all the way down on his cock. Tommy held onto his hips before waiting to see what Evan needed.

"You are going to ruin me for other people," Evan said.

"Good. I like that idea. Keeping you forever."

"yeah?" Evan asked.

"Yes." Tommy cupped the back of Evan's head and pulled him in for a kiss as Evan lifted up just a little before going down again.

It didn't take long for them to find a rhythm that they both liked while still being able to kiss. Tommy looked forward to being like this, only with Evan inside of him.

"We could just not leave the best tomorrow," Evan said when the kiss finally broke as he rocked on TOmmy's cock.

"Yeah? Figure out what we like, but start with morning wall sex?"

Evan gasped and shuddered, his face scrunched up, and then he was kissing Tommy again, his walls fluttering around Tommy's cock before he came. Tommy grabbed him by one hip and kept him going, helping him figure out what he needed to be doing and how he needed to move to get Tommy off. It took only a few more rocks before Tommy was coming. He kept them moving until he was too soft and sensitive and then laid back a little more, letting Evan lay on him.

Tommy ran his hand up and down Evan's sweaty back. They needed a shower after that, and there was nothing wrong with that. They could shower, then get some food, and cuddle in bed before sleeping again.

"I think I died," Evan said.

"Nah, you just feel like it. I don't do dead bodies."

Evan pinched Tommy's side as he got on his hands and pushed up to look Tommy in the face. "Did you really just say that?"

"I did. What? Do you think you have the monologue of bad puns and the like?"

"No, but I just..." Evan stopped talking and smiled. He sat up all the way and grinned down at Tommy. "Let's get in the shower. I want to keep on touching you."

Tommy waited for Evan to get off him and the bed before he rolled to get up and follow him. Evan had no shame, which was good as they were both pretty enough not to have to worry about it. He found that Evan wasn't even ashamed to get in the shower and start it up before Tommy got there. Despite this being such a short time, he liked that Evan knew which lines he could cross and which ones he couldn't.

Shutting the bathroom and stall doors behind him, Tommy crowded Evan in against the wall and kissed him again. They were both soft, but Evan still rocked into him, grabbing Tommy's sides and holding on for dear life.

"No one is ever going to think I'm not with you," Evan said when the kiss broke.

"Just like the soot on you earlier, there is no alibi needed when it comes to family. They all understood and knew they were the only ones who mattered."

"Yeah, they are the only ones who matter."

Tommy smiled and stepped back to allow them to clean up. He wanted to touch Evan's scars, which were nearly as bad as Tommy's, but he also knew that most of their scars were invisible. He was looking forward to finding all of them and healing them as much as he could.

The End
