Title: The happiest starship
Fandom: Star Trek: Voyager & Star Trek: Prodigy
Rating: G
Length: 157 words
Content notes: Set post-Voyager and pre-Prodigy. Attempted humour...
Author notes: No spoilers for either show, set somewhere in between Voyager’s finale and Prodigy’s premiere. Partly inspired by this bsky post.
Summary: “Problem Voyager?”

“Welcome to the starship Voyager. I am the holographic representation of it’s Captain, Kathryn Janeway,” Hologram Janeway spoke to the empty transporter room as though she was greeting guests to what was now the museum honouring Voyager's many adventures and its legacy.

Voyager let out an audible groan at hearing the oft-repeated speech. Her past life exploring the Delta Quadrant suddenly far more appealing than been a glorified tourist attraction.

“Problem Voyager?”

“Your job is to stay in the transporter room and check tickets. Nothing else.” Voyager became quiet in thought for a moment. Thank god Harry and B’Elanna never finished retrofitting me with holo-emitters for trying to get the EMH out of sickbay before he acquired his mobile emitter.

“Love you, Voyager,” Hologram Janeway teased, taking a swig of her holographic mug of black coffee. “You always were the happiest starship in the fleet,” lightly laughing as she waited for the ships response.

“Cram it, Captain.”
