Spike glowered at the Slayer as she fled hastily, leaving him stranded in the destroyed building.
Grunting, he went back to lie on the floor since he had to wait the bloody day out. He made himself as comfortable as he could, lying half naked among all the debris and rubble, lacing his fingers behind his head.
Closing his eyes, he replayed the glorious night of decadent, violent passion he’d shared with Buffy and a cocky grin stretched his lips.
She may act all prim and proper, but deep inside she was burning with a fire that matched his own.
