Tantai Jin kneels patiently, his back a broad canvas ready for her strike. His serenity mocks her: she can make him bleed, but she cannot truly touch him.

She curses the girl whose face she wears. Ye Xiwu was a monster.

"I'm tired." She hurls the whip; it clatters away, lost in the shadows. "If you want it so badly, you can do it yourself."

She curls around herself on the bed in helpless fury as she hears him rise slowly, and go to find the whip.
