Ros was looking at the calendar which was hanging on the wall in Adam and Lucas’ kitchen. “How come you have at most one event listed in the days coming up to Christmas and yet these three dates seem completely booked out?”

“Full moon,” Adam said, without looking up.

“I’d understand if that was all that was marked, but you’ve got Christmas lights, Winter Wonderland, carols round the tree and several more things, some of which I can’t even read.”

“As I said, it’s full moon. You know Lucas normally hates social events, so we limit what we go to. At the same time, I quite enjoy all the run up to Christmas, so, since his lupine form absolutely adores all the festivities, we do everything we can fit into the three days around full moon. That way I get to indulge in all the festive events and don’t feel I’ve missed out, and he has a wonderful time.”

“How does Lucas take it afterwards?”

“Doesn’t seem bothered. Although he does occasionally come out with something like, ‘So that’s where the chocolate tree decorations came from’.”

Ros laughed. “That sounds entirely typical for both forms.”

“There are a few crossovers.”
