“No, old thing.  It lacks pizazz.  Jeeves is all well and good for the basic ideas, like avoiding Aunt Agatha, or even on occasion, Aunt Dahlia, but for the proper, really make an impression idea, you need a Wooster Idea.”

“Oh, yes?”  Angela didn’t sound at all convinced.

“Here, let me demonstrate.”

They were strolling down a jetty which led to where a number of small pleasure boats were tied up, which, earlier in the day, young gentlemen had hired to row their young ladies around the harbour and demonstrate how fit and manly they were.  Or where, certain of the young ladies, having taken up rowing at college, were forced to row them back when they threatened to be carried out to sea.

Beside the jetty were a number of wooden piles which had been driven into the seabed.  Bertie jumped onto one of the piles and from there continued to leap from one to the next, while at the same time describing his plan.

He had just finished what he was saying when he must have slipped, for there was a loud splash and Bertie Wooster was no longer visible.

“I didn’t quite catch what Bertie’s last words were,” Angela said to Jeeves.  “Did you?”

“I believe he said, ‘What can possibly go wrong?’”
