Summary: Local "mean girls" are starting rumors that Liorah is using Sean, amongst other rumors. She angrily confronts them, then storms back to the gang's hideout. But are the rumors just rumors?
It had been months since Liorah joined up with Rockapella, accompanying them on heists and other pursuits. In those months, she and Sean had formed a relationship, and were smitten with one another.
But not everyone viewed her newfound relationship with Sean Altman in the same light. Local gossip was quick to spread rumors that Liorah was nothing more than a user, taking advantage of Sean's kindness and generosity.
Liorah was determined to confront the people spreading these lies. She knew that if the truth was out there, Sean would know she was loyal to him and the gang.
She arrived at the small coffee shop where the ringleaders of the local gossip mill hung out. They were huddled in the back corner, sipping their lattes and giggling like schoolgirls.
Liorah approached them with a fierce glint in her eye. "I want to talk to you about Sean," she said, her voice steady.
The women looked up at her in surprise, their faces contorted with confusion and suspicion. "What about Sean?" one of them asked, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
"I want to clear the air," Liorah said firmly. "I'm not using Sean or Rockapella. They saved my life. They took me in when no one else would. I owe them everything."
One of the other women snickered. "Sure, you do. And I suppose you'll pay them back by...what? Cleaning their toilets?"
Liorah's fists clenched at her sides. "I'll do whatever it takes to be part of this family," she said, her voice low and dangerous.
The women exchanged a look, then burst out laughing. "Family? You're delusional, honey. Those guys will toss you aside the minute they get tired of you."
That was the final straw for Liorah. She grabbed a nearby coffee mug and slammed it down on the table, shattering it. "You don't know a damn thing about me or Sean," she growled. "And I won't let you spread lies about him or the gang."
She turned on her heel and stormed out of the coffee shop, her heart racing with anger and frustration.
However, the rumors had already reached the ears of Sean and the guys.
When Liorah stormed into the hideout, Sean could see the fury in her eyes. He knew something was wrong, and the rumors that had been circulating around town about Liorah using him came to mind.
"What's going on, Liorah?" Sean asked, his voice low and steady.
Liorah's hands were shaking, her anger barely contained. "They're spreading rumors about me," she said, her voice tight. "Saying that I'm using you and that I'll be tossed aside when you're done with me."
Scott, Barry, Elliott, and Jeff looked at each other, their expressions darkening. They knew what these kind of rumors could do to the reputation of the gang, and they didn't want to let that happen.
Sean stood up from his chair, his eyes locked on Liorah's. "You know that's not true," he said, his voice firm. "You're family, Liorah. And no matter what, you'll always be family. I don't care what goes on in this city. Nothing will ever change that."
Liorah smiled a small smile, tears welling up in her eyes. "I love you, Sean," she whispered, reaching up to hug him.
Sean closed his eyes, pulling her close to his chest. "I love you too, Liorah," he murmured. "I'll always love you."
