Negative space is the shape emptiness takes. 

It is Vera's footprints as xe runs in the grass, faint impressions of dirt, at least before xe jumps, right over Snowsparkle, the positive space of active force surging through xyr body. 

It is the way Snowsparkle's emotions barely show on her. It is the empty space where her movement would be, with many a cat walking right by her, thinking she was asleep, only for her to open her eyes… 

It is the passivity in her body. It is the way she does not run, but walks. 

It is the way she laid limp in the arms of the humans of the Old City, even being compared to "a sad sack of flour" at times. 

It is the way she does not run and jump like Vera, or overflow with energy like Oceane. Does not throw rocks at potted plants like little Breadstick or trot around like Dryn. 

Yes. This is the nature of negative space. 

With that conclusion reached, Snowsparkle wonders again…
