Lurking in their tiny buds, just needful of sun and of rain
Erupting into fullness, with nutrients carried through the vein
Autumn bringing vibrant hues, colours bright, no longer plain
Fallen, mulched, forgotten, waiting for spring once again


Verdant forest green
Trees and bushes all in leaf
Parts forming the whole


The greens turn yellow,
Orange and then russet red
Greeting the autumn
Then fall, covering the ground
A blanket of crackling brown
